Daniel Harris is an experienced and talented defense attorney who is widely recognized by his peers and by local judges for his skill in the courtroom and in trial, his knowledge of the law, his ability to interact with clients and others in the court system, and his integrity.
Attorney Harris is in the very select company of still practicing attorneys to have won a Federal Criminal Jury Trial in the Middle District of North Carolina, having his client found not guilty of an indictment for Impersonating a Federal Officer. Attorney Harris has also successfully argued multiple suppression motions in Federal Court, obtained probationary sentences, and helped clients receive substantial downward variances.
Attorney Harris has won numerous other jury trials, to include having a client found Not Guilty of three separate Class C trafficking charges, each charge carrying a mandatory minimum of 18.75 years. Attorney Harris has negotiated dismissals and reductions of First Degree Murder Charges, First Degree Sex Offense Charges, Habitual Felon indictments, Embezzlement, First Degree Kidnapping, Arson, and many more. In District Court Attorney Harris has won hundreds of cases and received numerous Not Guilty verdicts on cases including but not limited to DWIs, Assault on Female, Domestic Violence Protective Order Violations, Communicating Threats, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Larceny, and much more. Attorney Harris is also widely respected by judges and local attorneys alike for his intimate knowledge of the North Carolina Expunction laws and processes.
